Structuring initiatives, teams and workflows beyond the first idea.
Novelty helps a business, initiative or digital product move into its next stage with the structure and operating setup needed to support it – through process design, clearer ownership and decision-making, and better alignment between people and technology.
Structure, in practice.
The way work is structured rarely gets much attention while everything is running smoothly.
It becomes important when it starts limiting what you are trying to develop.
Improving digital products & platforms
A digital product is not just what the user sees. Every new feature also depends on the data, decisions and processes behind it. Development therefore often includes what happens in the background – how the team receives information, makes decisions and moves the process forward.
Novelty connects user experience and feature development with processes, automation and the way the team works. The solution might be a new feature, a different user journey or a process change, depending on where the problem actually sits.
Developing programs & initiatives
A program cannot work the same way with 20 participants as it does with 200. As scale increases, what could once be handled through informal coordination and flexibility needs a more precise delivery model.
Novelty develops the delivery model alongside the program – what should be standardized, what should remain flexible, where automation makes sense and how responsibilities need to change as the program grows. The aim is for growth to create more value, not more work.
Introducing AI tools & new ways of working
AI, automation or a new system do not become useful simply because they have been introduced. Value comes when it is clear where to use them, what no longer makes sense to do the old way and what needs to change in everyday work as a result.
Novelty helps determine where a new tool makes sense, what it should change in the process and how it fits into existing responsibilities and decision-making – instead of becoming yet another parallel system.
Start with what needs solving.
The work follows three connected phases, each building on the one before it. Every engagement starts with Strategic Assessment & Direction. If the engagement continues, Operating Model Design comes next, followed by Implementation & Optimization. After each phase, you decide whether to move forward.
I
Strategic Assessment & Direction
For situations where it is clear that the current way of working is no longer delivering strong enough results, but it is not yet clear what is causing the problem and what is only a symptom.
The outcome is an independent, structured assessment of what actually needs to change, in what order and where change will have the greatest impact – as well as what does not require additional time or resources.
II
Operating Model Design
Once it is clear what needs to change, the next step is not another list of recommendations, but a concrete operating model for how the work should function in practice.
Responsibilities, workflows, decision points, communication, tools and tracking are brought together into a model shaped around the actual work, team and context.
III
Implementation & Optimization
Some changes can be implemented immediately, while others reveal their real challenges only in practice. In those cases, the new way of working needs to be tested and adjusted as it is introduced.
Novelty stays involved through implementation, testing and further refinement until the key elements work reliably and the team is ready to run and continue improving them independently.
Change only what needs changing.
Not every problem calls for a major redesign. What changes is what is holding development back, what already works stays in place. That is why the engagement continues only while there is a clear need for external support.
Pricing depends on the scope and complexity of the engagement, the number of people and teams involved, and the level of support required.
The work shaped the approach
Novelty grew out of more than eight years of work improving programs, digital products and processes as their scale, teams and complexity evolved.
Across different contexts, the same challenge kept coming back: connecting people, processes and technology so the way of working can keep up with what is developing.
That is why every engagement starts with what already exists – what is worth keeping, what needs to change and what is needed for the new solution to keep working even after external support is no longer there.

Time for a different way of working?
You don’t need to know exactly what the problem is, what the solution should be or what the next step is. Start with what you would like to change or improve, and we can take it from there.
